ABOUT US

Too often, medical advice comes in a style that is either too clinical or too vague. Sometimes, the medical terms are explained to you in jargons you won’t remember in the next hour. Other times, they come in really watered-down formats, ‘just so you can understand it’.

It’s like trying to read important information in the wrong font.

This was the vision behind Health in Fonts.

To make health information clear, useful, and easy to act on.

At Health in Fonts, we translate clinical ideas into plain, practical language so people can understand what matters and how to use it. Our focus is physiotherapy-treated conditions (back pain, post-stroke recovery, shoulder pain, sports injuries, and the likes), but we also cover everyday health topics that help you prevent illnesses and act appropriately when you’re faced with any.

We write for real people. Whether you’re a patient, caregiver, or someone curious about how their body works, this is for you. Each article aims to answer the question: “What can I actually do about this?” Over here, you’ll find step-by-step ideas, short exercise progressions, prevention tips, simple explanations of common conditions, and patient-friendly checklists.

Our aim is to be practical, not preachy; clear, not oversimplified.

Editorial approach

  • All our content is informed by scientific evidence and written in a straightforward language.
  • We check our clinical points against reputable sources; where relevant, we note the author’s credentials and the last review date.
  • All the recommendations, exercises, and treatment approaches mentioned in Health in Fonts are general guidance. They don’t replace one-to-one care. For personal medical advice, always consult your clinician.

She is a physiotherapist with a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Rehabilitation (Physiotherapy) from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. While the site is a solo operation now, the goal is to grow a trusted resource that patients and clinicians can use and share.
